Hmmm I'd say very small power gains?? Either E.L ll and latter inlets would be better...
An Edelbrock Performer is the least obvious especially if you grind name off...The are copies of manifods from China for around $500 new.... Typhoon |

| do u think an au 5ltr out of a ute would be a worthy power up replacement rather than my stock el 5ltr? anyone know what kw rating the au's had, 185kw? thinking of buying this engine rather than getting gt40p heads, manifold. or just wait around for an au xr8 series 2/3 engine to pop up, they had 200kw engines? |

| Depends on what it costs you..The Au has the Gt40P heads..Even though they are 180 kw..The 200kw has roller rockers and better cam etc...If you are happy with that or the 200 kw then thats o/k but if you intend to to modify then I would go the AUl with 180 kw port heads, lower inlet alittle, 2031[1.72 rockers]2030 [1.60 rockers] cam and possibly better/ bigger maf..Pro-m...With good exhaust...Then should have atleast or close to 180 rwkw.... |

Sorry to be a thread snather, but just one question..
Is there any difference in which rr ratio you choose to use?
Ie. Are certain ratios designed for certain engine combos?
Does one provide more power?
Cheers mate! |

| I would rather the 200kw engine, as i wouldn't do that many mods. only exhaust etc. insurance is cool with new engine so may as well put the more powerful one in. how much would i expect to pay for one of these? |

200 wasnt n option on the au utes, only 185. sedan xr8s for au went 185, then 200, then 220, but the 220 are a little harder to track down
