Ok guys this is not an installation question...but i do want to buy one at the moment and i was wondering what the difference between the EF and the EL one is. I have an EL and have seen one for an EF.
My Question is what is the difference? the buttons for the clock on the EL are the same colour as the plastic around, and with the EF if i am correct the buttons were a dark grey in colour.
Does anybody know |

| There is no stopwatch in my EL trip computer and no mention of it in the owners manual which also covers Ghias. |

Does anyone know if EF\EL trip computers are interchangeable? I rang coventry's once after a trip computer, and they told me the EF ones were no longer available and the EL wouldn't work in my EF. And they wanted $270 for it!!! |

mine is el/nl has has the stopwatch, you have to push a couple buttons at the same time from memory
remember EF and EL grey are too different colours, there is Mako Grey (el) and the EF is Luna Mist |

| thanks for that, being able to use an EL one should make tracking one done a bit easier. Can anyone recommend a good wrecker for fords in perth? Walliston wreckers? |

| yeah, there is one in maddington, all fords parts or something, sorry cannot be more specific, but I have been there a few times and they are ok. Usually plenty of later e-series cars to get stuff from. |

The stopwatch is an undocumented feature.. and not listed in any manuals.
EF and EL are most definantly interchangable. |
