The AU has true sequential injection not bank fire. this results in a 10% fuel saving.

AFAIK the EF is wired up to suit and the AU having the same coil pack should be very close to an ECU swap.
I just need the full Engine loom diagrams for both and I can start experimenting. In fact since I have a spare EF car. I have the loom to work on. I might have to get a loom from and AU and just fit that instead?
You will at least need the AU MAP sensor as it is different from the E series.

I kick myself for not removing more parts from the AU I got the ECU from. I got the intake manifold and injectors. I should have got the whole head. I have a suspicion it was VCT? But would a factory taxi have been VCT?

The silver service lanes generally were, but I doubt a standard falcon.
It's pretty easy to pick the difference, one has the big red tickford rocker cover with the cam thing sticking out the front and vct on it, the other looks like a standard rcoker like out of say a eb ed.

I have a vct ecu that has the part number WR2A-12A650-CD....I removed this from an AU fairmont ghia that had the VCT motor....the final letter (D) has been textered over with the letter E....could this have been a flash revision????

I have queried this ECU part number before and the guy said it wasnt a VCT ecu, could it have been reflashed to become one???? 100% it came from a car with a VCT motor...

I have this for sale if anyone is interested...I also have the loom that goes from the ECU to the engine main plug

It'd definately be nice to get the AU ECU running in EF's without too much effort.
