couple questions on the vehicle speed sensor...
1. In installing a calibration box to correct the speedo, i would have to intercept the red wire in the back of the cluster directly and would be unable to use the white wire at pin 3 on the ecu?
from what i understand the VSS sends a seperate signal to the ECU and a seperate signal to the speedo? is this right..
my failed attempt at installing the jaycar correction kit, i intercepted the signal at the ECU, and i think this might be why it didnt work?
in the back of the ECU, which is the correct wire to intercept, which is the pulse wire?
2. Are there different types of VSS... e.g. the ford vss to suit the t5 as opposed to say a holden vss that would fit the t5 maybe with a different output?
any help would be appreciated, if you know anythin that could be useful, please add me to msn: santoitaliano[at]hotmail[dot]com
thanks,
