|
|
Hello all,
I am finally making tracks getting my EF Ghia showcar finished as per my original dream...
To complete the car I am requiring various "un-easy to get" parts and hence turn to all you wonderful ppl for help. (SA is hopeless for parts)
The list ;
INTERIOR
2x EF Ghia front leather seats in grey
4x EB Ghia leather headrests with the hole in the middle
1x EF centre armrest console
1x FBT/LTD/Lane??? woodgrain steering wheel
1x EF/L Manual gear boot
4x NF/L door courtesy lamps
2x AU Overhead reading lamp/sunglass holder consoles in grey
EXTERIOR
1x EL GT Grille in any condition as it will be chrome plated
1x Set of EF XR bonnet vents
1x Set of NF/NL chrome window frames
MECHANICAL
1x set of EF/L XR rear suspension arms +/ linkages (I am led to believe
they are of different lengths and will help cure a vibration i've had
since lowering the car when fully laiden???)
1x EL XR6 Fuel pressure regulator
1x Set of EF/L XR6 Exhaust valves
1x Hydraulic clutch setup for manual gearbox
Its a big list i know, sorry guys.
Any help locating these parts would be muchly appreciated.
Thanks for your time
Atech

Just so you know the steering wheels you are after that are woodgrain could be:
1.) EL GT - Black leather, woodgrain.
2.) FBT - Cappacino leather, woodgrain (same as EL GT)
3.) AU - Fairmont Ghia Option - Black leather, walnut woodgrain (lighter in colour than ef/el)
4.) AU LTD - Light cream, woodgrain as per EL GT.
Pick of the lot is the 1st one as its most common and can be had brand new from 500ish from some wreckers.
I hear xr8 dismantler in melb from FTG auto salvage will be getting some in possibly.
Will have to get the leather colour dyed if you want it grey, cost about 90-110 dollars.

Hey Allan what kit is that on your car ??
It looks like a fairmont bar with an add on lower skirt (which I don't recognise)
Any better pics than the one in your av/profile ? |

rear UPPER control arms are different on the EL XR's
there are 3 different lenghts in the EF-EL range
lower arms are all the same. |

Hydraulic Clutch Setup?? - Wasnt the XE 5.8 the last to officially have that?
I know that with my XD I used an XC Bellhousing etc with the V8 gear.
Mind you the way fords gone, I guess that part woud still fit... but a Hydraulic Bellhousing??
The Hydraulic Slave/Master Cylinders arent that much new. |
