Thanks for the comments guys. The car was built by me in a shed, engine assembly, panel paint & all the bits in between. Took about 5 years, mainly on weekends & the odd late night after work. The colour is out of the 1984 diahatsu icon_eek.gif catalogue. I used a silver base coat, 3 coats of colour & 12 coats of clear so the paint finish is smooth where the black & green meet.

My grandfather bought this car new in 1973 & I bought it off him about 16 years ago. Its only done 73000 miles, the interior is original apart from the front seats & carpet. I've also got an EF fairmont 5.0 as a daily driver, I'll post some pics of that soon.

Haha yeah the steering wheel is off a previous project. I'm gunna get it re covered black. I bought it in the early '90s when you could get away with that sort of thing icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

I've fitted the chrome strip that's missing from this pic.

Nice car mate. As nice as the new Falcons are, its great to see an immaculate classic still out there mixing it with the best of them. The colour looks great. I would hate to think how many hours of detailing have gone into it.

My favorite ford is the xc but that looks sweet, you must be impressed with the finnished product. All your own work and an awsome result.
