|

Hi.
I havn't seen any posts in here about older falcons, but hopefully someone might be able to help me with some info. I have an xw ute (351 clevo, tricked c4 etc) that i would like to convert to power steering. I have seen pictures on ebay of an xd power sterring box and comparing it with a standard xw steering box I have here it looks as if the xd box is an easy fit. Has anyone tried this, or heard of it being done? I really dont like the old ram style power steering units that xw's came out with, and they are hard to find and thus expensive. I realise I would have to get new lines made etc to fit an xd unit but I am mainly concerned with whether or not the box will fit. Does anyone have one of each sitting at home to compare?
Any help appreciated. |

XA-XF power steering box are nearly identical.
As for fitting it to a XW, that is a bit harder, from what I have been told as I have not done one, it requires panel beating the chassis rail, new holes to be drilled and reinforced, I am sure someone on here has done it or has saw it done. |
