Hey, i was looking over some of the factory times for the XF's and it wasn't pretty, now mine with a few mods feels quicker then what they say they did at the factory.

For EFI, 5 speed
0-100km/h: 9.5 seconds
Standing 400m: 16.6 seconds
For Carbi, 5 speed
0-100km/h: 12.5 seconds
Standing 400m: 18.5 seconds

So my question is has anyone got any better times then that, or should i try it myself?

considering that the youngest XF sedan is 18 years old, i doubt anyone here would be able to answer what a new XF is capable of, but i reckon mid 16's isnt too far fetched

Pretty much anything from a mid 16 to a high 18 depending on condition or if its carb/injected? Mine feels like its got a high 16 to low 17 in it.

that 0-100 time seems right, cause i had to shift from second to third before 100 in my old xf.
mine was 5spd efi.
i never ran it at the dragstrip.

i had a carby xf with extractors and exhaust and it would have run a mid to high 17 i reckon. they are pretty darn slow but they are a fair bit lighter than the newer cars. the diff ratio was too tall to compensate for the crappy three speed auto.

five speed, 3.7 diff (from a 4cyl corty), exhaust, mild cam, compression should see mid 15s...

Yeah, thats the thing, i'm running a EFi, 5 speed, exhurst and extractors, custom 3" intake and pod, no real engine work. But she's stuck with her 2.77 lsd, now i'm not saying 2.77 is a bad thing, cause i do heaps of highway driving, but its s**t when your trying to get it to go. I'll have to get some mates together and find some abandom highway and give it a go one day. Tell then i will sit and wonder.

Well when my XF was running in its prime (rarely happened) but still, i have managed to test out the 0-100kms an a 1/4 mile out with more than one persone timing it as well. so it was legit. And this is from a Carby XF with not a great deal done to it.

0-100kms - 10 seconds (average)
1/4mile time - 16.9 was my best and that was done three times icon_smile.gif

When i first had it it was something like 12 seconds 0-100 and did a 1/4 mile in like just under 18 seconds. icon_redface.gif
