|

ill keep updating this first post
so far:
XG ute...
BA front end conversion in progress (with BA F6 bodykit),
330mm brakes,
MY99 WRX bucket seats,
FPV starter button,
stripped aircon completely,
and other little s**t..
what ive got so far in parts:
- BA F6 motor
- T56
- Lokka + 3.45s
- 60Lb Siemen injectors
- Motec M800 ecu
issues incountered:
- NO ISSUE with K-frame
- swaybar fouls - solution = lower swaybar an inch!
- bonnet clearance
but im not worried about bonnet clearance, got a XG GT bonnet going on, the vents adding needed cooling, and its bulge will allow me to clear it
clearance on K-frame FTW

yeh RSWEPN, ive followed your build... i thought the blue was a sweet colour
im fitting / modifying BA fenders to suit... much easier to use original BA fenders rather than folding metal around edges.
wheres there's an angle grinder... theres a way |

thats the way mate nothing beats a custom job.
so whats the deal with the XG GT bonnet?
Are you modding the XG bonnet with a bulge and choping the corners to flow with the gaurd?? |

freak6, im pretty much gonna cut out the XB/C GT bonnet and weld it onto the XG bonnet. just cut and weld.
fibreglass XB/C buldges are around $365, but fibreglass and bog cracks.
an angle grinder solves all.
mitch, im not sure how lots of KW + live axle + manual, will go haha. should be fun haha |

I cant wait to see this come together. It should be a weapon.
When do you think the engine and stuff will be in and running?
My problems werent ECU related, the ECU is pretty good for the price imo. |

pretty soon dan i reckon, i work offshore, so when im not working (ie: back home in perth) i just work on my cars.
slight delay in the re-start of the ute...
blew my EF XR6T turbo Saturday night. hahaha.
rebuilding the turbo today. will be back on hopefully later this arvo
ive been talking to a few car club mates (that actually know their s**t when it comes to turbos and such) and they seriously suggest that new Autronic.... which will be around $3500 installed.
end of the day around $1000 more than a 8860, but i dont want to "limit" my project by an ECU that might not be up to the task |

update:
- deposit paid on motor
but thats the only good part
- spend $1000 upgrading turbo on EF ... damn impulsiveness
- blew Typhoon's diff and had to get that sorted. its under warranty, but just a hassle with 4 cars not working. lol
ill update this soon with hopefully more positive info
*edit* actually just found about 2hrs ago, that it was snapped axles in the phoon lol |

i had 4, but my torana got stolen
and i dont know how the axles snapped... it came onto boost in 1st, did its usual step out and back in at 3000rpm, and then the axle snapped at 4000rpm.
something is wrong aye... warranty hopefully |
