First run I tried stalling the car up to 2000rpm but i'll admit i pretty much let the clutch straight out and it shook violently..... 15.7 secs
Second run i had to abort as i thought i'd blown the clutch or box or diff, it shook that bad. Third run i stalled to 1000rpm and tried to let the clutch out a little softer and took off nice but when it hit 3500 in first in started shuddering again, so i thought f**k this lets go to second and it slipped for a bit.... 15.2 Power is 138kw+ @ wheels.... 3.73 single spinner.... Reco EA T5 new clutch (clutch industries) I know its got heaps more in it, as i shaved half a second of my first run just by limiting the violent shudder, and theres a bit more up in the top revs of first i gotta get rid of. Fitted new rear shocks today and next time i will lower the tyre pressures and stall it up a bit more while playing with the clutch. |

have the same prob as you. car puts out 145rwk so is good for a high 14 but axle tramp had me running flat 16's. not happy. In my case Im pretty sure its rooted shocks or rubber mounts cos I can hear it making clunk noises when driving and reversing

Nankangs are GREAT..... They are quite grippy especially being a cheap tire and seem to last well for a lot of burnouts.

A decent 2nd gearie, and a 3500rpm clutch slip with a limo and you should hookup, i had a rooted limo and still cut a 14.97 with a 2.2sec 60foot time, drove the 50 odd K's back to brisbane, stuck my hand on the tire, and it was grippy as all hell.. smoke_ swears by Nankang NS-II's on his EF, and whatever i get is gunna have them too, great value for money

Not running an EA flywheel and clutch as well are you? Get an LSD/spool/lokka/MIG too, singlespinners don't help.

Yep Ea box, flywheel and clutch.
Since the run i have a slight diff whine when cruising with light throttle.... brand new diff gears. Wont be doing another run until i can afford to fix the car in case something gives, dont want an early death from the missus.... |

Just out of curiosity, where in the revs do you begin to lose power as you change thru your gears? I have 150+rwkw and with 2.2 60 footers I only managed 15.5s. 3rd gear feels like it's letting me down as it feels like power cuts off at around 4200 tops

Maybe your tune, i wouldnt have a clue.
Im running 3.7 diff ratio though, so my s**t launches are forgiven later down the track. Also ive heard people running the XR fuel reg have swapped back to the standard reg and running better, but also im not quite sure about this too....... |

get your AFR's checked, maybe its running out of fuel at top end, most likely to do with the tune... have you had it dynoed? 150rwkw sounds a bit low for those mods??? possibly due to the same problem...
you should be peaking closer to 5000rpm

I had it dynoed a while back and have had some dud sensors since, which has all been fixed. I'm running the ho manifold and e7 heads still tho...
I'm thinking change heads and manifold then retune... hopefully things will get better from there. Thanks for your reply. Oh yeah, I went and converted the hp figure and it's just on 157rwkw
