o i have a xr6 too i only mention this because of the gearbox ratios, they are different to a standard falcon t5

as far as i know the ratios are the same as any EBII onwards T5
No the t5 in the no xr6 models have
1st 3.23
2nd 1.99
3rd 1.29
4th 1.00
5th 0.72 - -
Reverse 3.15
These are the same rations used in the xr8 t5

where xr6 t5 has
1st 2.95
2nd 1.95
3rd 1.34
4th 1.00
5th 0.73
Reverse 2.76

.

how do you know this???
i have never heard of this and the factory manuals states the ratios are the same as std eb2 t5s..
and the xr6 boxes have the same part numbers as the std ones..

if the xr6 had a 2.95 1st gear that would be the first thing i would get rid of. that would make the xr6 a bit of a pig off the line..

Someone is getting confused, the XR8 boxes are the 2.95 first gear boxes.
Exception being Sprint and EB GT which got a box with a 3.35 first and 1.99 second (best T5 ever :D).

If you are refering to the speedo gear give Mall Wood a call he has them on shelf, he set up my diff and gear box for me.

however having the speedo corrector is very useful for a number of reasons though....

EB2-ED XR6's have the sam box specs as the EF EL XR6's..... and 3.9/4.11 in the right circumstances make your car faster.... OED666 - 13.82@100mph with a T5Z and 4.11's

the t5 ratios on the xr6 are the same from eb2 to el.....

the only ones that are different are ea/eb1 which has the 3.5 1st gear..
and the v8 boxes which is discribed above...

i dont know where you got your info frm lol??

Spewing nice expensive mistake on his part. The gear was part of the diff price when i got mine done, it actually came in the box with the gears!

as for the ratios, you should check where you got you info on the ratios because they are different from factory unless it was optioned with the lsd then the xr ratios were fitted, this is info from a xmaster tech at brian bert ford who worked there when the ef el were the latest thing since sliced bread.
