EB-EL V8 Trans are interchangable.

Can't use a 6cyl one on a V8.

just out of interest why is that other than the bellhousing?

does the EF/EL ones have the adaptive shift?

will make it easy if they are interchangable though, there arnt any differences between the fairlane ones and the sedan ones i imagine?

Cheers guys

i don't even think the torque converters are interchangable.

Torque converteres are different. Ratios are different. Not worth the effert. Chase downa 5.0 one and all will be sweet.
Or get yours freshened. Shouldnt be any more than 1k to freshen it

BTR's fitted to all E and A series, both I6 and V8 had the same gears ratios.

the ecu in 6 cylinders are different to v8s

the bell housing is different, the input shaft if different and the tourque convertor is different

its alot of work putting a 6 cylidner box into a v8

i would just get yours recoed.

or find an already rebuilt one for sale.
