hey guys, recently installed a 4spd auto trans (2nd hand- pulled from a wreck), drove the car from sydney to melbourne with no problems what so ever, starting day 2 of the drive. the car would not go into 3rd gear just sit at 2nd and revs really high
tried playing with the 3 t-bar gears and still will not go into 3rd.

Ive been reading around on forums that most Ford auto faults are caused by the soleanoids, had a mechanic hook up a scanner and said it looked fine( would the soleanoids show up on a scanner?)
