The Borg Warner guy seemed to think that there were some floating around with roller pins AND the pictured "lug", "pin" etc. Whatever. I am damn sure that in 99.9999 reoccurring percent of the time you'd be correct.
This transmission will have a tapered bearing between the input shaft and mainshaft, not the 15 needle rollers.

Damn right there... After all the effort I went to find new needle rollers etc I know that area of the non world class T5 better than the back of my hand. I even looked at changing it to a world class at that point, but it is not a simple case of putting some bits in a lathe and increasing clearances to put a captive style bearing in. There is a guide on how to do it on one of the Mustang forums, but replacing the rollers is working okay for now.... Pity I couldn't afford second and third gear replacements mind you... (groan)

Those 15 needle rollers are a *b**ch* to find. I forget the dimensions off hand, but 5.5mm or something in diametre could not be found in NZ and even Mal Wood didn't have anything in Aussie. Mal Wood do supply great input bearing retainers (I know I have mentioned that before, but give the guys a plug for all their good work...)

They list the needle rollers in the kits on the site you've listed.

And that's where I got them... America.

Couldn't find suitable anywhere in NZ or AUSSIE. Including Mal Wood, various specialist transmission shops, Borg Warner and Tremec agencies, etc etc etc.

http://www.thegearbox.org is the place. And he's a nice guy if you get through on the old dog n bone too... Helpful to us novices.
