g'day ppls i just wana know coz was planning of doing a auto to manual conversion 2 a el falcon 4L and was planning of using a ea-ed gearbox.
if i use the ea-ed box and use the ef-el pedal box can it b done???
does the tailshaft need 2 b changed from the factory ef-el tailshaft 2 a sh*t ea-ed tailshaft if i use the ea-ed box?????
if anyone can help me that would b very greatful of u's

I'd try to get my hands on a ef / el gearbox, preferably a reco'd one. I would stay away from an EA box as the ratios would be too low and it would mean higher engine revs. EB 4.0L - EL 40.L had the same ratios. Also later model boxes had reverse gear syncro.
Tailshaft should be the same as all the EA - EL T5 gearboxes had the same housing. I'm prety sure you should just be able to use your original auto tailshaft and cross member also.
