about to put a kmac camber kit into my fairmont 6cyl ef

and tips of hint that might have this easyer to do

im planning off fitting it call up then diving it to my mates workshop for all the corrections to be made to castor camber toe in etc

pics would be useful

no real tricks to it,,just be careful and put everything back correctly.

if it's a shim type kit you'll wanna set your caster/camber as you put it in. Ratchet style you probably don't need to though.

yea its a Ratchet Type k-mac kit

hopefully i can figure it out without to many issues

Pretty easy mate, just a matter of undoing the 8 bolts in the engine bay, undoing the 4 on the upper control arms, pulling old ones out, putting new ones in and reversing the process.
A good thing to do is to get your old upper arm mounts (including any shims), and roughly try and get the new camber kits to the same position, just so it's not too far out that it's undrivable.

hey mate just wondering where you got them from and how much you paid was looking into it the other day and when i asked the guy at autobarn he laughed at me and said theres no such thing lol so yeah i punched him in the mouth lol i wish

kids that work at autobarn dont know anything well most anyway

i brought my cmaber kit off fordmods right here i posted up i wanted a camber kit 24hrs later i got a camber kit

i got a k-mac rachet type kit i paid 100 sumthing i forget

One thing I might mention (if you haven't seen it in any searches) is to do up the upper control arm bolts when the front wheels are sitting on the ground (ie not on jacks or stands). Otherwise, the weight of the front end will put torsion on the rubber bushes and cause premature wear. I found this out the hard way. It's a bit fiddly reaching under the guards with ring spanners.

A few people have told me that ratchet-type kits slip & that I should use the ones with shims. But, it hasn't happened since the K-Macs were installed 10 years ago.
