Are there many differences between the tech doco for the EF/EL i6

(found here: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42420)

manual conversion PDF and doing it in a v8? Obviously different parts, but is the resistor trick still the same? Can i use the same sandwich plates, and starter? is my loom the same?
I am doing the conversion in my 1993 LTD.

So Far i have:
T5 Box
mal wood clutch pin kit
clutch pedal,dust excluder etc
10.5" clutch/pressure plate
clutch cable

I am still needing the bellhousing, i have a guy from RareSpares looking for me, but will prob have to go to Castle Maine RS. There is bugger all in the way of Manual V8 falcon stuff here.

Now the flywheel, What imbalance do i need? i have been told pre EB it is 28oz, EB on it is 50oz, is this correct? If not what imbalance do i need?

What sort of price from Oz would i be looking at for an ED XR8 manual ECU?

Where abouts can i find a post on how to do the resistor trick on the trans loom for a V8, my search box thingy shows up some pretty random stuff, does not really find what i want it to.

I will be slicing up my wood grain shifter panel to make it look like a manual version, then i will be sandwiching a leather boot between it and the black base. Hopefully works out OK, unless anyone wants to buy it first.
What else will i need?

I think thats enough questions for now!

Cheers,
Mason
