Hey all,
I have recently been looking around, getting quotes for some new suspension for my 99 V8 Au fairlane. My Pedders quote came back at around the $2300 mark. Does this seem right??? I just wanted to lower it at about low/superlow height and a camber kit would also be needed. I just wanted to know if anyone else has done similar to their cars, and if so, how much did you get it for and where? Cheers in advance

Should cost that much. Cant you get springs for 2-300, then a camber caster around $150. Pedders are known to be bit rich.

Maybe they also quoted on replacing upper and lower bushes? Not really worth going to all the trouble of lowering if they have had it or the Shocks?
There are 4 lower bushes that do wear, they are $187.00 per side (Gen Ford) also, 4 upper bushes; $32.00 per side. Depending on the brand of shocks that could add to it as well. Your Ball joints may not be great as well. Maybe ya need to ask for a break down of the price you got? |

Dont trust it man.
I got my car lowered , KS SL, shortened shocks, wheel alignment etc for 1200 at wholesale suspension. Have a look a round . like Smurf said pedders are known to be a b**ch rich. |

Does that include new upper shock mounts? The IRS ones fail really easy

I was quoted about a $1k when I was considering it last year and that was for springs and shocks all around. $2,300 sounds a bit much.

The $2300 included Gas comfort shocks, SL springs, Castor kit (front) and bump stops. Thats it!!! If anyone knows of a good place to go to, please let me know!!! Cheers

Also from Brisbane, you could try Driveline Services Brisbane:
http://www.driveline.com.au/prod_suspension.htm They make a shock specifically for AU-BA falcons and its awesome - comparable to konis, but way cheaper. they quoted me the same price when i wanted to go lower, its the best setup they have , fully adjustable and quite low, i didnt see it worth the money though, its called sports ryder extreme or something
