like topic says, are AU IRS diff gears interchangable with live axle gears from 28 spline diffs?

i want to buy gears which ive previously bought and fitted to my EF, just wondering if these same gears will fit in an AU IRS diff?
ive read somewhere, IRS gears have grooves machined for a circlip....... or something  ?

I remember reading somewhere on AFF I think that someone fitted EL gears into a BA.
Definitely worth looking into more. |

yes! Gears are the same, AU IRS centres have circlip grooves machined into the side gears. Apart from that, identical. I had EB stuff in the old diff in my AU IRS.
