hi all. i have an au series 3 xr8 with the irs and there is a clunking grindingey noise coming from the rear when i turn sharpe and slowly. it doesnt do it all the time. im thinking that it could be a suspension bush but im not sure which one. are there any that are more common to go then the rest?
any help would be good

could be a bearing also..... if it is, be prepared to be bent over......

I did mine recently on my BA and doing the work my self, cost $150.....
Thats for the bearing and getting it pressed in, I pulled it apart and refitted everything...

hey no probs, did my passenger side just a couple weeks ago....
Thought the pics might help someone out :)

If you are doing it yourself.... buy a can of WD40!!! I used heaps as the shafts tend to weld themselves in with the heat fron the brakes... I jacked the car up and sprayed, undone a couple of bolts and sprayed again, and again and again (was forewarned on this part)..... Thats why in 2nd pick it was soaked in the stuff.....

well i figured out what the noise was and thought i would post it up incase anyone else had a similar problem. turned out it was the diff oil. replaced it with a good lsd oil and the noise is now gone.
