As the topic states..my Au is vibrating.
This only happens when I release the clutch after downshifting to 3rd or second. Could a worn flywhell be the cause of this?? I had a new clutch put in when the syncros were changed about 10 months ago.

Have you checked the mounting bolts for the gearbox crossmember? They could of not been done up tight enough.
I'd check them. |

I'd check them.

No I havent checked them.
I will go throught the workshop manual and check it out this weeekend. Cheers guys.

DaveXR8 wrote: is the bell housing also called extension housing? bell housing-has clutch,flywheel--front of gearbox,bolted to back of motor. extension housing--back of the gearbox,has cross member and rubber mounting under it,uni joint and tailshaft start on the end of it. if all bolts are ok and uni joint is ok,check for a lost\thrown balance weight on tailshaft,after that ohhhhhhhh the clutch\pressure plate---have seen broken load springs on clutch and broken pressure plate fingers.
