I was driving yesterday & I decided to put her into 1st as I miss driving the 5.0L everyday and I noticed she was shifting up gears when the T-BAR was in 1st WTF?
Could the box need a service as it was rebuilt at 140000km and now the car is at 214500km??

my old box used to do that, the gear position sensor (white thing LHS of box) is stuffed,

mine does the same thing mite have to have a look at the white thing and how hard is it too replace?

the little white box on the transmission is called the inhibitor switch which when plays up can cause your problem. canrt recall cost but easy to change yourself.
