Just found out its going to be between 150-200 labour to get my old balljoints pressed out at a suspension joint, and newys pressed in, and thats if i take in the spindles.
Apparently it takes up to 2 hours and noone will give a definite price.
Im not real sure of the price or the amount of time they are saying it takes, does it sound about right?

I had Pedders press in new ball joint for an EL. I removed the old ones and supplied the new ones. They only charged me $60 press them in. You can also buy them already done, see link>>> http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FALCON-EA-EB-ED- ... .m14.l1262

I'm getting the lower balljoints replaced on my ED on Tuesday. Was quoted $235 including parts/labor then I'll get my own wheel alignment which will probably cost around $55.

Shannon,

Malaga Springs & Suspension do it for about $220. I got mine done there, drive in drive out. Good quality service there IMO.

Malaga wanted between $150 to what ever they wanted to charge just to press them in and out and that was with me supplying the new balljoints, that was with me also taking in the spindles not the whole car.
I also spoke to wa susp and they were just as bad pricewise.
Sounds like you guys got the whole job done for what they want to charge me for labour just using the press.
The thing that got me was they couldnt give a definite price(which is bs) and by the sounds of it they wanted to rip me off.
If i can get the old ones out without a press i will, that will make it cheaper for me.

I just think businesses will charge more for labour if you dont get them to do the whole job or buy parts through them, which is what im finding.
