I got a set of 17" x 8 and need new set of treads i was looking at Falkan again or nankang ns 2 but i would like to know wat is the best bang for buck tyres and would like to hear your opinions on tyres you had.

i just put 2 gt radials on today for $280ea in 18" compared to the $379ea for the michelin ive got now on the back the come up well and im super fussy with tyres i think for the price they are great,got sick of waiting for michelin to be in the country been 4months with no stock and at least another 2 months for a 235/40/18 what a joke stuff michelin ive allways run them and ive allways had trouble getting them its a shame coz their tyres are awsome oh well at least i have gt written on my tyres ill just save up for a complete gt now lol

From what ive heard the new nankangs nsII's are really poor after a bit of wear. stay clear.
Falken, Nankang, Wanli are about $100-145ea. Bridgestone, Dunlop, michelin etc is about $220 up. You can alternatively get second hand tyres, cheaper option. most tyres ull find up to 95% still on them for approx $70-100 a tyre (depending on brand). Try Tyre Express in Granville, 9892-3587. I just got some second hands again, sp9000 (245/40/18s) and 235 g3's up front. You'll find its better to get second hand expensive then cheap s**t ones. |

A good choice is either Marshalls (on my car) or Federal (my old mans) they are both really good performers in wet and dry!!! they are priced between $ 140 and $180 but are really good!

Im a fan of the Flakens as that is what i currently have on the car. I have had Bridgestone s03's and at the moment havent found any difference except that the falkens are a quieter tyre.

I highly recomend Maxxis Radial MA-V1. I don't think they've been making car tyres for long, but I remember they werte the ducks nuts when I used to ride bikes and I got them with my new wheels and I've very happy!

My ef had a bad shudder and a tendency to tram-line, and before i sold it, i put the nankang ns2's on it, and it was like driving a totally different car.
It drove and handled so much better. I am going to put them on my ute, and they smoke real good.
