im having trouble bleeding the brakes in my ef el, Ive let them drip til only fluid comes out and still the pedal is spongy, i enev got someone to press the pedal while nipple was open but still spongy. No air seems to be coming out. The abs pump has been off for a while so could it have an air lock in it?

You shut the nipple again before taking pressure off the pedal i hope. If not you will draw air back into the system. It is possible to get air locks in the system, best thing to do if you are having trobule is to use one of the vaccume bottls that you hook up to a compressor, that will help draw out the air. If you don't have one take it to a mechanic, a brake bleed should not cost the earth.
