Any body out there ever used these shocks in something like a Ghia type Falcon? I was told by a suspension shop, if I fit these shocks to my EL GT, the shocks will "self destruct" due to the weight of the car? They want to sell me the new Monroe GT Sport shock, trouble is, I am hearing some awful stories about the new Monroe GT Sports!!! Boges or Koni? :?

I am using BOGE front struts in my EB11 sedan. They came with the Kings Super Low springs I got. I have been driving with this setup for a couple of years, and have been very happy with the ride and handling.

I will say that when it is time to replace them I will be using the Ultima Short Heavy Duty struts, mainly due to my limited budget.

Cheers

how low is it though? running stock length shocks with lowered springs (particularly more than 1in) is never a good option as far as lifespan goes, particularly if your not careful and manage to bottom them out a few times.

Have a search for boge, there have been threads on it before. I ran shortened boge's in my last car with superlows and they were great. Also if the suspension place really said that I would consider going elsewhere....

From my understanding (very 2nd hand info!!) These shocks are supposed to be a match with King Springs (sl) 3 Guys have reported since fitting the spring & shock combo, their cars sit low & look good!!! But they now handle like bowls of jelly, one guy, (BA) has fitted a heavier spring set up again, to try & regain his cars handling. Another guy (ED) is removing the Monroe GT Sport shocks & refitting Monroe Gas shocks. Like I said guys, very 2nd hand info, but they all report the handling of the car is woeful

Im just another for Boge shocks, i have them in the rear of my EL Fairmont ghia with Dobinson lows with no issues. The ride is firm but not rock hard. They are the shortened type.

I have boge short shocks with pedder springs in my EL Falcon GLI and there a good STANDARD replacement shock. If compared to monroe and other brands it has abit better handling & comfort characteristics.

I read alot of information on here and 98% boge where good and they are. but if i had my time again id DEFINATLY go Koni shocks with king springs. Would of cost me $600.00 more which i think is worth it.

What do you want from the shocks?.Do you want it to scream around corners or do you want a lounge ride?
