After extensive searching of these forums and google i think its time to make a post.

Does anyone have any information on modified valve bodies for the Borg Warner M51 3 Speeds in the EA's?

Also, at the moment I am not interested in converting to manual (though I have read all the relevant information on this forum).

I have also noted the hatred for these autos, I quite like pre-electronic gearboxes however.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'

I had not considered that, though that does sounds appealing. What I was more interested in was modifications that firm up the shift.

What are the pros and cons of the modification you suggest?

i think to firm up the shift you need a shift kit but im not 100% i think swc or a total tool will know a bit more about it, and as for changing the a*** pattern im not sure as what the advantage is, just that at tech someone had a gearbox in there that they were doing it to.

i know that a "shift kit" is needed, but it is not like the shift kit for the BTR 4spd which is an electronic box.

From what i knew, shift is improved on these boxes by modifying the valve body.

If anyone can shed any light on this...
