Hi Guys,

Thanks in advance

I bought a kit and only have 4 lines...one per brake caliper....not sure where the fifth would go :?. But if there is a fifth, would be nice to know where it goes.

phong =P~

I don't reckon there is a 5th. I've been told by two different companies one said 4 lines the other 5 I asked where the fifth one was and they didn't answer me. Maybe they were thinking of the line that comes around the diff but thats not to do with brakes.

It's been a few years since I installed mine, but from what I remember there is only 4 flexible lines.

There is a single line from the front to the rear, it's T's on the body, and then there is a flexible line from each wheel arch to the calipers (so the brake lines do not run along the diff).
At least that's how the wagons work, I highly doubt the sedans are different.

From my observations, based on my 2 cars, EF sedans have 4 lines, and EA wagons have 5.

The wagon runs one from each front caliper to the body, then from each rear caliper to the diff, then one from the diff the body.

EF/EL (including wagons, i now learn, thanks to twr7cx) run one from each caliper to the body.

Cheers
David

All cars must have a flexible connection from the body at the rear to the diff ! Hence you need 5 lines, or the task is not as good as it could be.

No, not if the line doesn't run to the diff. It can run along the body and then a single flexible line each end from the body to the brake caliper.

Steady ED

Can you clear it up with EF-EL, is that 5 lines or 4 lines?
