just testing the water to see whats around in terms of brake kits for e series..
specifcally brake kits with adr approval.. whats around? who does it? how much? ADR? pros cons (offset..?) might be a chance to get a sticky/database type thing setup of whats actually available |

I know prices for anything with 2 spot front calipers would be over $1500. I'm pretty sure that would include the uprights.
As far as the rears go I reckon stock single piston would still be fine. Try to remember the more pistons they have the prices of pads goes up dramatically just ask any brembo owner in a BA/BF. That mob on Ebay do brake upgrades for around $1500. |

ive seen them sell on ebay for just over $1000 lately, the person who sells them was starting them at 99c. and thats everything needed included uprights.

There are a few options available to you;
Cebco Race brakes Sydney do a kit Mr spares on ebay does but havent heard the best feedback Can upgrade your brakes with slotted rotors and good pads and braided lines. What's the intended use for the upgrade and how much you looking to spend?

why? My brakes are stock and they are great, almost as good as a forester i used to own.

Cebco's the go, but your looking at 3 to 5 grand depending on what options you tick.
MR SPARES on eBay, I'd be weary of, the seller talks a lot, but not much of what he says happens. The offset it leaves you with is neither AU nor E-series - and it's not enough to fit a set of hubadapters, so you'd end up needing custom front wheels or to run dodgy spacers. |

Im actually installing in the next week or so slotted DBA rotors all round with Ultimate pads and braided lines, so ill give u a update on how they perform. On my EF XR8 with a 400hp 347 had the same setup but with different pads and pulled up really well so im sure you can get away with it.

^^^ s**t you're game. i have trouble having faith in mine with a boggo 6 pack powering it. these brakes are the only thing that lets the car down.
if my big engine plans ever come through in the future i'll be calling cebco |

LOL yeh they done the job but i was going to get a upgrade kit from race brakes but i sold the car.
Like i said they done the job but a upgrade kit would of been heaps better plus you have to think u have big brakes u have 2 have good tyres becuz it will just out do them when u brake hard especially in a emergency stop.

I'm not sure what model E series your car is, but have you tried to get hold of the EL GT rotors and calipers?

I have done exactly as MICKYYYY has done and the difference is amazing.
That said, my boys drive modern cars,-XR and Corolla, and say that my brakes are awful! I love the brakes just the same.

Forget about ELGT brakes, my sister inlaw worked for a ford delaership and even with her discount i could of bought 2 decent brake kits from Sydney Race Brakes.
