yeah i will cut them but i didnt have time when i done the rear. just wanted the rear a bit lower then standard but went stupid

wish it could be like this all the time and still be legal

not only is it illegal, but its also unsafe...... ffs get some proper lowered springs

I think you'll find that a set of king springs super lows will give you a ride height which isnt too much higher than what you have there.

If you're still keen on being really really really low then i think they still do ultra lows.

i know it is off topic but seriously though - this site is about modding our cars but keeping them safe and within the law. I don't care for anyone who does stuff to his/her car which could end up killing themselves, someone else or me - we all share the roads!

If you cut the front springs more than about 1.5 coils they become too short and are not clamped by the shocker/strut correctly. this means completely wrong spring rate, loose noisey unsasfe springs. Never cut springs

thats the biggest load ive heard cause we cut my mates i think 2.5 2 at the very least and it was still under a s**t load of tension

and guys can we not get into anothe s**t discusion about cut springs i think we are all sick of it!

Under tension yes, but if you jack the car up, will the springs still be under tension? My brothers commodore, which has stock rear suspension does not have trapped springs. If the car is jacked up one side at a time, it can let out one of the rear springs! Thankfully i noticed it before he went anywhere
