Hi all after searching for the last 9 or so months for a manual conversion for my EL xr8 with no luck, I've decided to use a I6 box with a modified input shaft. The trouble im having now is finding a place in SA that will extend the input shaft lol was hoping a few members on here would know Of any companies that will do it? Prefer in SA but If I can't find anyone here to do it i will look at getting it done interstate. Cheers

Chop and weld and input shaft? Sounds nasty...

You could get someone to machine an entire shaft... Like Troyman is saying?!

Or, something like this...

EDIT ----

My old mate up the road uses Toyota gearboxes in his 302 powered Toyota Land Cruiser. To do this he got a plate made that bolts to block and has the bolt up pattern for the Toyota bellhousing. Much stronger than the T5 anyway?!

Maybe dellow or malwood have a custom bell housing which can let the input shaft poke out further ??

Off topic but someone was saying u can put a lancruiser gear box in a falcon. Doubt it would work as the gear box has a transfer case and is 4wd lol

Yes, the LandCruiser bolts up if you have a plate made to convert the Toyota bellhousing to the 302. Made from 10mm steel in the version I have seen. Not sure if you need to pack anything out for clearances, but looks like simplicity itself.

Delete transfer case and run the landcruiser diff while you're at it!

Would it would in a I6 with standard diff ? How much torque / ft pounds can they handle . I'm guessing more than a t5 ??

go to CRS and get a BH107B bell housing.

for $500 plus some minor items, you can throw in all the 6cyl T5's you like.

You MAY need a yolk or auto tailshaft, or it may mate up without any problems.
Im sure they can tell you.
