*****UPDATE 13.07.05*****

*****NOW BACK TO BEING LOPPED SIDED - AGAIN!!*****

WAS OK STRAIGHT AFTER WHEELS AND LOWERED, BUT NOW SITTING LOW ON DRIVERS SIDE AGAIN! PLEASE ADVISE!!???

ALL FIXED NOW - ALSO WITH NEW RIMS AND LOWERED. PICS SOON!

THANKS HEAPS TO ALL FOR THE ADVISE AND HELP!

PEDDERS CAN GO JUMP! THEY QUOTED $1200ish - I PAID $600 at TTF!

G'day all!

I have just replaced main suspension bits and pieces (FRONT - Springs and shockers, REAR - shockers aswel as front LOWER ball joints).

Since then, the car (EB series 2 wagon) has sat "lop-sided". Sitting lower on the RHS (or drivers side!).

Any and all advise reccomendations would be very much appreciated!

Also, I got quoted $1,250.00ish from pedders to replace all springs (incl adding 1 leaf to rear as advised due to car being lowered at the same time!) both shockers and both struts - inclusive of labour (at $220!!). Is this cheap / good / bad or rip-off???

Cheers. :D :D :D

Also - any help with my post in the "fuel system" section would be great!

Thanks. 8-) :D

are your springs new?

if not the springs can "sag" on 1 side

price seems a bit steep
labour is ok

but yer the extra rear leaf good idea!

igot a quote for $800 for springs/shocks installed at a place in wa

Hey, another wagon owner... woohoo lol.

Anyway, I had the same problem, the guy before me lowered the car by cutting the front springs with an oxy torch lol. They sagged more one one side. Fixed that with some pedders springs I had to pay $300 installed, and aligned for the front springs.

After that, I got some "superlow" king leafs, 3" lower (from waggin), and then kep the 2.5"(I think) lowering block in. Sits nicely, handles well.

So now Ive got all pedders shocks/struts, pedders coils, king leafs, and a Kmac sway bar in the rear which still needs intsalling.

After all that. My car sits straight. lol.

The leafs were $300 by the way for both brand new. (good price)

And the leaf lowering job that pedders does it a rip off, do a search in the yellow pages for leaf springs been reset, the local places are normally like half the price.

Good luck.

*EDIT* Check that all the springs are in the saddles in the struts. Maybe one turned when they were getting compressed into the strut. just a thought.

Thanks heaps justfordima - and yeah, another wagon owner is on the block!!!! LOL...... :D :D :D

Just found out the complete steering rack needs replacing! :( I can take a wild stab in the dark and say that they aren't cheap! All this just after I have just replaced BOTH rack ends and ball-joints, thinking that was the problem!

A bit p****d off at the moment! But, s**t happens!

Cheers - Matt.

yeah, sucks. But think of it this way, another problem out of the way. Now you can have a new rack, which won't die, and you know you won't be paying for it in the future. ofcourse money is money, but money spent now is money saved later in terms of this problem.

Good luck with it all.
