sometimes when i put the clutch in on my EA, it stalls while im still moving. it starts up fine again and dosent stall after that, but might do it again 10 min later. usually only happens in 2nd, 3rd or 4th. also the gearchanes are quite clunky and noisy.
does this mean my clutch needs bleeding? or does this have something to do with the fact i missed a change and went into 1st instead of 3rd at 60kmh?

why would the clutch need bleeding? im 99% sure the EA is cable

well thats what my dad said
so would i need to replace the clutch cable then?

yeh the clutch is cable operated not hydraulic. im not sure if it is your problem, but it might be a good thing to change it, especially if its still the original one

yeh its coming up for its 120,000klm service soon, so i might get it done then.
yes, its an 88 EA and its only done 118,000klms
