g'day, just thought i'd see if anyone has any ideas about my clutch. It travels in fine, but about half way to the floor it gets very stiff, then by the end it feels normal again for the last little bit of it's travel. It's sorta like it feels like theres a lump. It also makes a sort of 'rrrrr' sound when you press it in, across the whole motion, not just when it gets extra stiff. I was thinking maybe the cable is shagged but don't wanna buy one if i don't have to. any ideas? cheers

It DOES sound like the cable is buggered. Maybe the Throwout bearing is not the best either?

When you buy a NEW Cable, check the clevis where it goes onto the Clutch pedal, sometimes they can have a split in them. Always good to BUY a new one and a couple of new bushes that go into there.. Costs about $17.00 for the clevis and bushes.

Got a new cable, but that didn't fix the problem. On inspection of the release mechanism, all the rubber connecting to the fork on the gearbox (where the cable connects to) ispersished and split. I'll try and upload a pic but doesn't seem to work. How do you go about fixing the rubber or replacing it, they don't even mention it in the manuals i have:S?
