Finally Getting myself a Coil Overs for my BA...

Which is costing me 2052.85... not to sure wtf the 85c is for but i think that they could have at least rounded it off for me... but meh...

i'm getting the attached system with the dampering control unit as well...

Thoughts?

My friend has the rebuilt Tein superstreets from fulcrum, they're great, and the ride is good too, but to keep the ride nice, the height is a bit ghey.
not really sure why you'd both with coilovers on a heavy as f**k BA, but hey, it's your money!

I didn't relise Tien did Aussie vehicles, thought it was Jap stuff only.
Did you look at Nolathanes aswell?
So is that front and rear? Does the price include the dampering system?

price is with new Nolathanes and dampering system... and includes my rear...

On an upside. apparently with Coil overs you won't need sway bars unless your on the track... so.. i'm getting sway bars lol well at least when the missus permits...

it is going to counteract the understeer problem that i have with running super lows and XR struts...

instead of driving a boat around. i should hopefully be driving on a table top :>:>:>

Just my opinion here, but coilovers are a little over rated. and when you think about it, form EA onwards we have always had coilover suspension, and even the rear was somehow classed as coilover from XE/XF - AU.

I'd go a decent set of struts/shocks and a lowered spring and i'd bet it would handle just as good and without the pricetag.

But it is just my opinion...

Well, superstreets won't hold up to track treatment.
If you get swaybars as well the car will juts be so stiff that you'll lift wheels into the air going into driveways.
Long story short, you've just thrown away 2 grand, decent swaybars with whiteline suspension for your car would have done just as well for cheaper.

meh it is all part of the fun... my sway bars were already upgraded and i still didn't like the handling... so i've bumped it up another 2mm which will make it 3mm thicker than stock... and with the coil overs... should be sweet...

i realise the problem with lifting the wheels heading up driveways...


I'm going to keep the 17" maggies on the BA or else something else will give with that amount of stiffness in the suspension... so hopefully it will be the rubber and not the chassis...

I'll let you's know how the setup goes... hopefully will have it installed in 2 weeks time...
