Hi guy's
my son & I just had kevla bands & stage 2 shift kit put into the C4 behind worked 302w, but when we reinstalled the trans & filled it up to the dip-stick full level we think it is over filling ( blowing oil out) several times & this was first time we'd filled it to full level, my question is could the dip-stick be the wrong lengh or out off another trans? & we'r over filling it , coz it came with box "is there any way we could check" thats its the right lenght for our trans
king regards

Hi XRfairmont67
the dipstick tube go's into the trans sump, right hand side of box
should the dipstick be a Certain lenght that we can check with trans still installed?

your trans is referred to as a c10, basically a later model c4

i have just measured my c10 dipstick
i measured from the top of the cup on the actual dipstick, that goes over the dipstick tube, down to the bottom of the stick, it is 510mm long
the ok level on the bottom of the dipstick is 32mm-42mm from the bottom
when checking the fluid level make sure the trans is at operating temp and engine idling in park
