Sure are. Your front and rear brakes are different from each other, generally larger brakes are fitted to the front to start with and there is also a brake bias in that the front brakes receive more pressure and brake harder than the rears. It's definately a good idea to upgrade any component of your brakes, just remember to do the same left and right, but doing the same front and rear isn't compulsory or necessary at all!

Well..you sound happy enough with fronts! Whats a good price to pay for a pair of ABS fronts? I saw Hitek brakes has some for $220 a pair on their ebay store....some guys seem to have gotten them a lot cheaper though.....

Also - is DBA the pick of the brands?

Slotted rotors are an upgrade that you might not notice any great deal difference in feel compared to ordinary ones. But hey they look SWEET! DBA is the pick. More expensive than RDA but as far as aesthetics go the paint DBA use on the hub part stays looking great for ages, whereas give it a day or two and RDA's start looking tacky.

I've only got slots and braided brake lines on the front of my EF at the moment aswell.
I have cross drilled discs and braided brake lines for the rear sitting here but!

any upgrade u do for saftey in this regard is gonna be better than what u have stock so if u havent got the cash to do the rears yet dont worry more braking is done in the front anyway but yeah better to do the fronts with better gear than not at all

The front brakes handle more than half of the braking (upwards of 70%) upgrading the fronts will benefit.

round the $90+ mark prices can vary quite abit.

Hightek brakes in Vic are sponsors on this forum and give 10% discounts to its members might be worth a call and see how much postage direct to u would be....get some decent pads to if u can afford it.

i paid $55ish for each on the au :D:D:D:D:D:D gotta love cost price deals!!!

i paid $190for the rotors, lucas brakes, brake cleaner, and red vht paint... not bad considering the rrp on the pads alone is like 110!
