if ya like your car, dont do it. Brett put one on his ED, about 3 months later he'd put it into a fence...

you'd be better off (plus it's cheaper) with a lockrite lokka.

not as noisy and just as effective at locking the diff underload.

as for crashing, well if you drive fool then you'll crash it, drive the car like it has locked diff and you'll be fine

on another forum, wont mention it coz they dont want bogans on there, a fair few have lokkas in their cars and have no issues at all, if you know how to drive a car with one, u will be fine, if not well yeh

aren't detroit lockers meant to have the same effect as a lokka? I know they're more complex and don't work quite the same...but i was under the impression that they allowed some differential movement...

Lokka's lock and unlock depending on throttle application same as detroit lockers, under accelleration and hard deceleration they lock, but are unlocked

detroit locker go open wheeler when cornering
making a huge bang at the rear.
when you start to accelerate it locks up & works like a spool (no slip). I used to have one in my xw circuit racing car. when it bangs it feels like the rear end is going to fall out.
