Ok, So I am having a s**t memory day. I an taking the mini spool OUT of the EB (awesome decision!) and putting in an LSD centre. I know there was an instructional on here previously on how to do this, I know if I look at it, it SHOULD jog my memory, but it appears the sands of time have burried the instructions I am after.

What I would like is, a simple step by step guide to removing the current centre and reinstalling my new centre. not having looked at diffs for years and years, I have forgotten EVERYTHING about them. Pics are most helpful.

Dave

Dave,

1. Axles come out
2. Diff hat comes off
3. Undo the 4 bolts inside the housing holding the Carrier in place
4. remove the carrier
5. take the 8 bolts holding the crownwheel to the carrier (LEFT HAND THREAD)
6. Remove the Carrier form the crownwheel and bolt it to the LSD
7. repeat steps 5 backwards to 1

So no specialist knowledge is required? Doesn't some diff work require careful attention to setting things up, using a dial guage or something?

According to Ben at Mal Wood, as long as the gears going in stay the same no.(say changing from 3.23SS to put an LSD in, the crownwheel and pinion must be the same pair, from what is already in the diff)
