does any1 no if an xr6 diff will bolt straight in my fairmont? no trouble?

Providing its of the same model it will bolt straight in. ie an el xr6 diff will bolt straight into a el fairmont.
Some models can interchange but that's above my pay grade

Some models can interchange but that's above my pay grade afaik, abs versions can interchange from EF to EL abs fitted cars, and non abs can be fitted to ef el non abs models, but that is the whole rear housing from rotor to rotar I am sure the centres are all interchangeable from EA to AU ....
