My EF has a diff whine, enough to annoy me.
How much is it to fix this problem?

mine has a little bit in 1st gear only.. otherwise nothing.. is it a serious problem ?

ohh wait... might be cheaper to rebuild :/


seriously.. try changing the oil, I had a slight whine @ 60ish with my old diff, I added penrite 80/140 and the problem vanished!

yeah did an oil change, did go away about 90% much quieter but still hear a wee bit... meh lol

i got my diff and carrier pulled apart and fitted spool + new oil and the whine has gone away, now all i have to do it fit my uni-joints cause it's knocking when slowing down(or braking) :(
