is there any differences in ratios between the EAII 4 speed auto and the EL (unknown series) 4 speed auto? i know they took of the bolt to tighten the bands but was there any other differences?
i noticed the whine that first does (like taxi;s  ) and 1st feels a little meatier but it might just be me

Only minor stuff like solenoids and servo piston design but otherwise the same.

so all the gear ratio's are the same?
found out today when i manually shift down at 29k's drop into first the wheels lock up for a sec... like a chirp sounded awsome lol |

Yeah, have done that with the old B/W 35 & 40 auto's too. Its a compression lockup.
