Hello everyone.

How hard is it to remove a torque convertor and then fit a new one? As always I'd rather do the labour myself rather than pay big bucks for a mechanic to do it.

undo the inspection cove undo the four bolts holding the converter from fly wheel and prise it from the fly wheel and take out the gearbox ''.most inportant part'' when replaceing the new converter put it in the gaer box and spin it until it locks into place .you will know this has been done by turning it back and forward. you will hear a sort of a clunking sound this means that it is locked in than line up th bolt holes with the fly wheel .and slide the box back in put the bolts back in the converter .and tighten them up . you can use a screw driver on the teath of the fly wheel to move the motor around so you can tighten up th bolts .i hope this has helped
