Recently purchased an EA sedan with 4speed auto.
Auto changes great except from 3rd to 4th when it really thumps when it changes. All other changes are smooth & normal. Any ideas

hey soulds like it might just need the bands tightend up ??
$90 for a service should fix it i am currenty trying to fit an ea 4 speed auto to an ef but have big hands and not having much luck on the starter lol

 Turns out it was a shift solenoid that was playing up!Thanks anyway & good luck with the trans swap Muncher!
