I understand your frustrations with people not doing a search but what i don't understand is that the effort it took you to write the above you could of just answered the question? So what is the point in commenting? Its come to the point now that sometimes in doing a search you get 500 results and can just take to long too go through for a simple question.

And to answer the question, i haven't done the swap (will be when my 3inch gets here) from my EB T to the EL xr but i will be putting the 2 1/2 on the EL and i have had the exhaust off the El and id say apart from the exhaust tip the extra resonators and the fact that the rear tail pipe section bolts on instead of a slip joint there the similar and should interchange.

The question had already been answered, thats why.
Theyre interchangeable, but slightly different.

Exhausts are advertised as EA-AU non IRS, so it not hard to figure out theyre the same in the sedans.

Its actually one for a V8. Im going to cut the joint out where the two goes into one, then put the right side back on with a small lenght of 3" to fill the gap where the Y joint was. then turn the other piece of pipe i cut off into the dump pipe .
I bought the system off ebay, was pretty cheap compaired to getting a custom system made which is anywhere between $600-$1000.
