Just make sure you put the bellhousing bolt thru the dipstick bracket. 8-)

I'm guessing you didn't the first time around? :)

No not me, I just wanted to make sure no one missed it. If they have the dipstick and tube out of the trans when installing it, you can miss the bolt until you realise you needed it....

Does the BTR 93 have a dipstick tube?
Mines an early '95 model EF with a dipstick tube attached, the Ex's EF is a '94 model which also has one and a mate at work has a late '95 EF Mont and his trans has no dipstick. :?
Got me wondering if the early EF's had the BTR 91 in them?

All EF's came with the BTR 93's from the factory.

Late in 1995 when the series 2 EF's came out, Ford deleated the dipstick tubes about the same time they stopped mentioning getting the transmission serviced in the owners manual - They decided that the oil in the trans will last the life of it. The fill plug in the side of the later 93's is in case a hose blows etc - a place to fill it back up.

Ah ha, well that clears that up.
Thanks Van Man :)

I'm guessing the life expectancy of the S2 BTR 93's was not very long then?
