Ok since ive had the car (ED I6 auto) its had (hard to explain but) feels like a starvation of fuel ( like a carbied car on a cold morning with out using the choke) does it really bad when its cold but gets better (not by much) once its warm. I've replaced the following trying to solve this
* Fuel filter * Fuel regulator * Injectors * Ecu * Dizzy Cap and rotor * Leads * Plugs * TPS * ISC * AND even drained tank (bone dry wiped out and removed from car) and only thing left to check is fuel pump could this be the problem? anyone have any ideas what it could be?, also replaced my smartlock and retrained but yet to get my keypad to learn (locks works from putting into learn mode but keypad lights up but nothing is responded by the car? ), but thats a different concern this is starting to get worse but the fuel economy is still good-great( still getting 700-800k out of a tank of fuel on the highway before 40k warning goes off) so could it be the pump? or am i missing something?

Could be a dying fuel pump, especially if it's the original pump. Have you checked fuel flow rate? (not sure how to check that) Check the fuel line, make sure there aren't any dents or unwanted kinks which may decrease flow rate.

fuel pump would be the first thing you'd replace if it feels like starvation

anyone have a recommended brand ? bosch, GOSS, fuelmiser? or any particular brand better than the other?

Is it worth buying one of feabay or better to go too repco, supercheap or autobarn etc?

Get a fuel pressure gauge and a bottle, and measure the fuel flow out of the return line from the rail before you bother replacing the pump.

but wouldnt a pump be cheaper than a fuel pressure gauge? and would it be wise to replace the pump anyway?

Priced one today at autobarn, supercheap and repco all around the 110 mark and autopro was 130 for same pump (vdo) and fuelmiser was 160 from all of them. any difference between them?

Got the new fuel pump and but haven't installed it yet, but was told by an auto mechanic to unplug the Oxy sensor and see if there is a change, didn't stall it ran fine but will check how it goes in the morning when its cold
Should the car run without the oxy sensor connected?

It actually runs better with it disconnected so could that mean its the oxy sensor gone or still be the fuel pump?

yea, it could be the oxy sensor telling the ecu its running richer than it is, and the ecu is removing fuel making it run lean..??
