one of my mates crashed his ed fairmont a few months back he offered to sell me his lsd from it so i was wondering is it possible to just swap rear ends over or do i have to remove the ceters and swap them over instead? thanks

You can use the rear axle, but you will need to alter the brake setup, and possibly muck about with the control arms.

The biggest headache is the handbrake setup.

I had the EF/EL handbrake cable brackets welded on my EB diff when I wanted to use the EF/EL handbrake handle.

My recommendation is to wait for an EF/EL Tickford LSD diff to come along.
