what was different in them apart from the ratios, and is there any external giveaways that the box is different?

Mate. No external diff as far as I am aware. I have not put 2 side by side. The sprint box has a different input main bearing to cope with the extra power.

dunno if theres an ID tag or anything do you?
a little curious about my sprints box cos for the k's on it, the shifter is VERY good..... usually after a while its pretty sloppy

the sprint box was a 'Z' spec box |

If ya really want the numbers off it. Let me know and I will have a look for ya. Mine has done 177,000 ks and it seems fine to me. But then again I have not driven a car with a new T5 box in it.
