Hi Guys,

I know im not the only guy with this problem as i've heard it on other cars and seen threads without a resolution.

When I drive over a cats eye reflector in the road, my rear suspension lets out a squeak. Like I have a bird stuck in the shock absorber. It doesnt happen on large bumps, only on short little ones, like cats eyes.

I have fitted new shocks, new springs, greased bushes, checked bolts, replaced sway bar link bushes, upper control arms, lower control arms... the noise is still there.

Any ideas?

There was a thread that found it to be part of the brakes, I think it was the slides or something that needed some greasing up.
I'll keep looking for the damn thread til I find as I need to do mine as well.

Solution:

Remove the wheel and then the caliper, leaving the caliper bracket on the car so that you are able to sit your brake pads on, hence, being able to see where the metal parts of the caliper bracket and brake caps rub. Then a small amount of grease needs to be applied to these areas. Becareful not to get any grease on your rotors or the pad part of your brake pads.
